JOIN ME AT THE RON PAUL SANTA MONICA
TEA PARTY, DECEMBER 16
I am honored to have been invited to kick off the ceremonies at the Ron Paul Santa Monica Tea Party (a re-enactment of the famous Boston Tea Party of 1773) which will be held at the Santa Monica Pier (California) on Sunday, December 16. Participants will assemble at 1 PM at the 3rd Street Promenade and walk to the Pier. Ceremonies at the Pier will commence at about 2 PM. Here is the announcement sent out by the event organizers, Kathy Ornstein and Stephen Vincent:

Great news! G. Edward Griffin, one of the founding fathers of the freedom movement in America, has agreed to open our Santa Monica Tea Party ceremony with an opening statement! For those of you unfamiliar with him, he introduced Ron Paul at the USC rally in September and is perhaps best known as the author of The Creature from Jekyll Island, which is a classic on the Federal Reserve System.

This could end up being a pretty big event. People are coming from San Diego, Ventura, Santa Barbara and Riverside! The vibes feel strong. Many other cities are now following suit and planning their own Tea Parties. Among them are Sacramento, San Francisco, Nashville, and of course the biggie: Boston. They have rented Fanueil Hall and Rand Paul will speak while the Ron Paul Blimp will be parked overhead!

We need a creative team to put together the crates, banners, and the signs. Some people have already volunteered, more are invited to participate. Contact Roger Pruyne at haqpunk@gmail.com.

Some people still want to dress like Indians, as the colonists did. It would be cool to have a fife and drum corps (or at least the drum). A drum roll before we toss each of the undesirables overboard would add a nice touch. Any ideas in that direction?

We will be going for TV media coverage. If you are good with media relations, please volunteer to help with that angle. The march and ceremony will be live webcast via The Freedom Message.

There also will be a Tea Party Celebration from 5 PM at a local Santa Monica establishment to be determined.

“THE WORLD AND EVERYTHING IN IT”
That is the modest title of my presentation to be made in Southern California on Thursday, December 6, 2007. Instead of developing a single topic, as is usually the format, I have been asked to address many topics such as current economic trends, the housing bubble, the collapse of the U.S. Dollar, the coming Amero (the proposed monetary unit of the North American Union), the Ron Paul campaign, debt elimination programs, mortgage acceleration programs, and just about anything else the audience wants me to discuss. It may be a little schizophrenic but I will try to make it interesting.

The program will be at the Granada Forum, in the assembly room of St. Innocent's Church, 5657 Lindley Ave., Tarzana, California. The program begins at 7:30 PM. I will speak at 7:45 PM. I am told that the program will be web cast; so, if you are not in Southern California, you can still attend via the Internet. To sign on to the web cast, go to http://www.granadaforum.com. The Granada Forum requests a $10 donation at the door. The web cast will cost $9.95 charged to a credit card or PayPal.

CLASSIC VIDEO PROGRAM GIVEN NEW LIFE
One of our all-time most popular video programs was produced in 1985 under the title: Soviet Subversion of the Free-World Press. It was based upon an interview I did with Yuri Bezmenov, a defector from the KGB. Yuri worked for an elite propaganda service known as the Novasti Press Agency. One of his assignments was to accompany journalists visiting the Soviet Union to make sure they did not discover the truth about Soviet life. After becoming disillusioned with the oppressive system, he escaped to the West at great risk to his life.

In this interview, Bezmenov told how the Soviets used propaganda against their own citizens; how he hoodwinked American journalists into publishing Soviet propaganda, how slave laborers are concealed from foreign visitors, and how he escaped to the West posing as an American hippie. The program includes many photographs brought with him on microfilm at the time of his escape.

When the VHS tape format gave way to DVD recordings, I assumed that the demand for this program would be minimal due to the wide misconception that "Communism is dead," so it was dropped from our catalogue. Much to my delight, a video activist took it upon himself to post an edited version of this program on You Tube, and the response from viewers was very strong. People could see that similar techniques for manipulating public opinion are being used today, not only by Russians, but also by Americans. So, we decided to re-master the program, give it a new title, and release it on DVD. It can be ordered below.
